:Central Saint Martins University of the Arts London SARAH GRESTY
For more than 100 years, Central Saint Martins—University of the Arts London (CSM) has been sending renowned designers out into the world. Students studying fashion at CSM are not limited to learning clothing design and production techniques—they also put their beliefs in social issues into practice.
The first creative challenge for freshmen is the "White Show", the school's fashion department's most historic event. Partially plant-based Ultrasuede® has been consistently selected as the design material for this show since 2018. Students showcase their creations while working with this pure white, sustainable material.
It is our pleasure to support the students at CSM as they take their first steps into the fashion industry. Ultrasuede® will continuously pursue to "enrich the society for the next generation" with our materials.
Central Saint Martins—University of the Arts London
Central Saint Martins is a world-renowned arts and design school, one of the six colleges within the University of the Arts London. CSM has nurtured many generations of creative talents: Among its graduates are such leaders in the fashion community as John Galliano, Phoebe Philo and Riccardo Tisci.
The White Show
The White Show is an annual showcase in which each fashion design freshman at Central Saint Martins creates a single look, all in white. It's an opportunity for students to learn the three-dimensional expression of clothing design. Dominating the calendar as one of the most anticipated events of the first term, the White Show is the longest-running project within the college’s BA Fashion Show.
